In addition to being a SC category assembly seat and one of the 17 assembly segments of the Shimla (SC) Parliament Seat. Kasauli is a small village in Kandaghat Tehsil in Solan District of Himachal Pradesh State, India. In this assembly HVC , BJP , INC are the major political parties in this area. Rajiv Saizal the current MLA of the assembly, and Suresh Kumar Kashyap, the Parliament’s MP, were chosen to serve in that capacity. The 2011 Census report shows that SC and ST assemblygoers, together with Muslim voters, rural voters, and urban voters, who make up around 1.6%, 81.67%, and 18.33% of the population, respectively, make up 35.26% and 0.21% of the assembly’s total voting population respectively. A total of 66276 voters cast ballots during the 2019 Parliamentary Election at the 116 polling locations in the Kasauli assembly. Further, as of the 2019 election, 76% of Kasauli’s registered voters cast ballots for the assembly, rise from 75.89% in the previous one(2017). Along with the cities of Kalka, Solan, Pinjora, Karoran, the rivers Bishkalti Nala and Bakhli Khad are also close by, as are the villages of Garkhal Sanawar, Ganol, Jangeshu, Chamian , Kot Beja.
