A SC category assembly seat, Baijnath is a town in the Baijnath Tehsil of the Kangra District of the Himachal Pradesh State, India and consists a part in the Kangra Parliament seat. It is located on the Pathankot Manali route midway between Kangra and Mandi. Additionally, the three major political parties in this country are the INC, BJP, and AGP. Kishan Kapoor, who represents the district as the Lok Sabha’s MP, and Mulkh Raj, who is now the assembly’s MLA. According to the 2011 Census, SC and ST assemblygoers make up 28.56% and 10.18% of the assembly’s total voting population, respectively, along with Muslim voters and rural voters, who make up around 1.1% and 100% of the population. As of the 2019 Parliamentary Election, there were 105 voting locations for the Baijnath (SC) assembly, where 88267 voters participated in the Anni (SC) assembly. Additionally, the assembly in Baijnath (SC) saw a voter participation of 63.52% in 2019 comparatively less than in 2017 that was 66.31%. Along with Kunsal (4 KM), Nauri Jhikli (3 KM), Majherna Khas (3 KM), and Paprola Khas (2 KM) as neighbours, the manji khadd and binwa khadd rivers also run close by. The fact that it is 1042 metres above sea level should also be highlighted. Over and beyond, Hindi and Kangri are the two main languages used here.
