Chamba is a city in the Himachal Pradesh State of India’s Chamba District. One of the 17 assembly districts of the Kangra Parliament Seat, it is a General category assembly seat. The national highway NH154A is fairly close to Chamba. The two other major political parties in this assembly are the BJP and INC. Both Kishan Kapoor, the district’s MP, and Pawan Nayyar, the current assembly’s MLA, have seats in that body. According to the 2011 Census report, SC and ST assemblygoers make up 24.82% and 23.75% of the assembly’s total voting population, respectively, along with Muslim voters, rural voters, and urban voters, who make up around 6.2%, 82.46%, and 17.54% of the population, respectively. As of the 2019 Parliamentary Election, there were 120 voting locations for the Chamba assembly, and 79542 voters cast ballots. In Chamba, the assembly was attended by 70.46% of eligible voters in 2019 and 72.19% in 2017. Chamba City, Dalhousie City, Dharamsala City, and Pathankot are the nearby cities. The fact that it is 489 metres above sea level must be emphasised. In this context, Pahari and Dogri-Kangri are also used in addition to Hindi and Bhattiyali.
