One of the 17 assembly segments of Shimla(SC) Parliament Seat is Chaupal, a town in the Chaupal Tehsil in the Shimla District of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Chaupal is a General category assembly seat. Chaupal is located quite near to the NH707A national highway. Additionally, the three major political parties in this assembly are the HVC, BJP, and INC. Both SURESH KUMAR KASHYAP, the district’s MP, and balbir singh verma, the current assembly’s MLA, are members of that organisation. According to the 2011 Census report, SC and ST assemblygoers make up 29.28% and 1.74% of the assembly’s total voting population, respectively, along with Muslim voters, rural voters, and urban voters, who make up around 3.2%, 98.2%, and 1.8% of the population, respectively. As of the 2019 Parliamentary Election, there were 145 voting locations for the Chaupal (SC) assembly, and 76746 voters cast ballots for the assembly. In Chaupal (SC), where elections were held in 2019, 66.61% of eligible voters cast ballots, compared to 76.42% in 2017. Along with the Nait ka Khala and Tons, the villages of Nerwa (6 KM), Matal (8 KM), Nanahar (8 KM), Bharanu (9 KM), and Lingzar are also close by ( 9 KM ). The fact that it is 1520 metres above sea level must be emphasised. Pahari and Punjabi are also used in this context in addition to Hindi.
